This series expresses an icy and polar landscape. For a brief time every day, the austerity of wind-swept fields is tempered by the dusky light of dawn creating a subtle but dramatic change from a harsh winter horizon to a softer plain. This polar landscape is rendered by hand in sterling silver. Somewhat ironically, the texture in the metal is created by applying a high temperature torch, which brings the metal to near-melting point. A high polish finish gives the pieces an understated elegance that can be worn from day to evening.
